Button Tree Craft

This has got to be one of my favorite projects of all time. Not only does it produce a beautiful, unique decor piece, but it’s also very easy and fun to make! Kid and adult crafters alike are sure to enjoy making it. πŸ™‚ All you need are six common supplies:

  • A 8 in. by 10 in. stretched painting canvas
  • A pencil
  • Brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Hot glue gun w/glue-sticks (you can use school glue if you’re doing this project with a child)
  • Buttons
I forgot to put the glue in the photo…LOL

First, take your pencil and lightly sketch a tree on your canvas. My favorite way to draw trees is to start with the trunk, split it into two branches, and keep splitting those branches in two until I think it’s big enough.

Shake up your paint, pick up your paintbrush, and enjoy painting your tree! πŸ˜‰

Next, dump out your button collection and lay out a design on the tree…

And glue them all into place! πŸ˜€

After you’re done of course, you’ll have to pick off all those pesky little strings from your glue gun… πŸ˜‰

But once that’s finished, your new creation is ready for display! I told you this was going to be fun! πŸ™‚

Ta-dah!
