Here’s a fun craft to make with kids this winter! They will love designing and creating their own snowmen; and when they’re done, they get to admire their handiwork on the fridge! (Don’t worry adults–you’ll love this craft too! π β€ )
You only need a few supplies:
- Cotton balls (I used jumbo size)
- Clothespins
- Magnetic tape
- Glue (hot glue works best, but obviously school glue would be the glue of choice when crafting with kids)
- Small beads
- Ribbon or pipe cleaners

First take your magnetic tape and lay it on the bottom of the clothespin. Cut the tape so that it fits on the clothespin without any edges sticking out.

And glue that sucker on… π

Then, tear your cotton balls in half, and roll the halves in your hands to give them a rounded shape.

Glue 3 of your balls onto the non-magnetic side of the clothespin…

And decorate! (Note: make sure you don’t make them upside down!) I used two beads for eyes, two beads for buttons, and a small length of ribbon to make a scarf. You can see below how to make a scarf:
Cut a length of pipe cleaner or ribbon long enough to go around the snowman’s neck, and another slightly shorter piece…

And bend the smaller pipe cleaner piece around the right or left side of the bigger piece (if using ribbon, just glue the smaller piece on):

And your little snowmen are ready for admiration! π They add such a simple, wintry touch to a kitchen…

Hope you’re staying warm and cozy crafting this season! π

Awe these are so cute!!
