Easy Chalkboard Style Party Banner

I love making party decor, don’t you? 🙂 But sometimes it can be difficult to come up with new, original themes and ideas. That’s why I’m pleased to share this pretty one I came up with for Mother’s Day this year! It’s easy, simple, and quite stylish. 😉

Here’s all you need:

• Black construction paper
• A jar lid (any size you like)
• A pencil
• Scissors
• A white crayon
• String (which I forgot to include in the picture…)

Start by folding your paper as many times as you can while still allowing the jar lid to fit on the surface. I folded mine in half the long way, then into thirds.

Next, trace around the jar lid with your pencil to make a perfect circle…

And cut them out! Continue making circles until you have enough for your banner. 🙂

Once you have enough circles, use your white crayon to draw a pretty letter on each circle to create your desired message! I really love the chalkboard look the white crayon on the black paper creates. ❤

Measure out some string, tape the circles to it in the correct order, and voila! You’ve got yourself a cute sign for any occasion! 😉 I decided to add two pink flower circles to the “mother’s” section on mine.
